Recently, the Wuxi Municipal Science and Technology Bureau announced the list of Wuxi Innovation Consortiums to be built (cultivated) in 2024. The "Wuxi Water Quality Risk Control Advanced Technology and Equipment Innovation Consortium" led by Jiangsu Zhongyi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (now renamed Jiangsu Water Pollution Control Equipment Technology Development Co., Ltd.), a subsidiary of Jiangsu Zhongyi Jinda Environmental Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., was successfully selected.
The "Wuxi Water Quality Risk Control Advanced Technology and Equipment Innovation Consortium" selected this time was led by Jiangsu Zhongyi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. and jointly established by six member units including Jiangsu Zhongyi Jinda Environmental Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., Nanjing University Yixing Environmental Protection Research Institute, Zhongchi Water Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Jinshan Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., and China Power Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. The consortium focuses on a number of key technologies, including new technologies for reducing the toxic effects of special pollutants on microorganisms, high-load engineering application technologies for new bioactive fillers, deep removal of total nitrogen from sewage, and low-concentration multi-component odor pollutant bio-enhanced purification technologies, aiming to smooth the full-chain development model of "technical research-achievement transformation-project incubation-industry cultivation-cluster development" and enhance the innovation capability and industrialization level of core technologies for water quality risk control.
The innovation consortium aims at scientific and technological innovation and takes conquering key core technologies as its main task. The leading enterprises in the industry play a leading role and the government plays a guiding role. It integrates the innovation resources of upstream and downstream enterprises, universities and research institutes in the industrial chain, establishes a sound organizational structure and a perfect operating mechanism, builds an efficient and powerful R&D supply system for the industry, and ensures the effective connection between scientific and technological R&D supply and industrial technology needs. In the future, it will work closely together in key technology research, innovation carrier platform construction, and high-level talent gathering to jointly solve the innovation needs of industrial development.
In the new era, the innovation consortium will focus on the urgent needs of "low-carbon", "health", "resource" and "smart" development of sewage treatment, gather the advantages of various elements in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, explore the construction of a new "carbon reduction-pollution reduction-health-smart" collaborative technology system, and provide technical and economically feasible scientific and technological support for the comprehensive improvement of the national water environment and the control of water quality and health risks. It will build a "carbon reduction-pollution reduction-health" collaborative technology innovation and new technology integration development, with significant development effects of industrial clusters, and equipment intelligent manufacturing moving towards the middle and high end of the global value chain, and an environmental protection innovation cluster with outstanding service advantages across the entire industrial chain and with global influence.
